European Technology Network raises $1.6M and launches five day live show

European Technology Network raises $1.6M and launches a five day live show from June 27 while expanding studio, team and programming to showcase European tech

The European Technology Network will move to a daily live format and broaden its production and reporting after securing a $1.6 million seed round, the London based tech outlet announced. The expansion includes a new Kings Cross studio, a larger staff and a schedule change that will take the European Technology Network from two streaming days to five starting June 27. Founders Luke Knight and Ronan Chambers said the changes aim to give faster coverage of Europe s growing startup and AI scenes.

European Technology Network raises $1.6M seed round

The funding round included strategic investors from across the media and tech spectrum, the network said. Backers listed by the company include Powerhouse Capital, Axel Springer SE, LadBible and angel investors tied to OpenAI and DeepMind. The infusion of capital is being put toward studio upgrades, staff hires and new programming to support a higher cadence of live coverage.

Knight and Chambers said the raise reflects appetite from institutional and individual investors for regionally focused tech media. The founders pointed to strong early audience growth on X and YouTube and said the show has recorded more than five million cumulative views since its launch last year.

Five day live schedule launches June 27

Under the new schedule the network will host a live show weekdays from 12 p.m. UK time to 3 p.m. followed by a two hour guest segment. The format preserves the program s mix of breaking coverage and long form interviews while adding daily slots so more founders, investors and policymakers can appear in real time. Guests already lined up for the expanded run include a Sequoia partner and former UK prime minister Rishi Sunak in his role as a senior advisor to major AI firms.

The move to daily streaming answers growing demand from European startups and investors to reach a broader audience without the bottleneck of a twice weekly show. Chambers said incoming pitch volume had reached roughly 70 requests a week and the new schedule was designed to accommodate high levels of interest.

New Kings Cross studio and team expansion

The network is relocating to a larger studio in Kings Cross to support increased production and remote satellite broadcasts from conferences across Europe. The new space places the operation close to many London based AI startups and provides room for roundtables, debates and a live audience when required. Knight and Chambers plan to expand the current eight person team with hires in production, editorial and commercial roles.

Daily live programming will require staffing changes both on air and behind the scenes, according to the co founders. The studio upgrade also aims to unlock more ambitious technical features for live streams and to host visiting founders, investors and policymakers on a regular basis.

Programming will include interviews debates and pitch sessions

The expanded schedule will keep a familiar structure of news breakdowns and guest interviews while experimenting with new segments. Planned additions include formal debates, industry roundtables and a Shark Tank style pitching feature where founders can present to a panel of investors. The network said it will continue to broadcast from major European events and has already produced segments from conferences in Athens and Paris.

Founders emphasized that the intent is to create useful, fast paced coverage that reflects how capital and technology move across the continent. Chambers said Europe is experiencing funding dynamics and product launches that merit a higher frequency of coverage and more varied formats to capture nuance.

Revenue model and sponsor lineup

The show s business model remains primarily advertising backed with brand partnerships and sponsorships forming a significant revenue stream. Existing sponsors cited by the network include prediction market Polymarket, blockchain infrastructure firm Base and audio AI company ElevenLabs. New funding is also expected to help grow a subscription newsletter and other direct to audience products.

Knight and Chambers said the combination of seed capital and sponsorship deals will let the network invest in original reporting while keeping much of its live content freely accessible. They described the economics as aligned with scaling an independent media platform that supports a pan European tech conversation.

Regional focus with global ambitions

While the network will be based in London, its founders stressed a pan European editorial remit that will bring guests from across the continent. Chambers noted the diversity of markets, languages and technical cultures in Europe and said the program will continue to travel to Summits and industry events to capture regional stories. The pair also signaled they welcome non European founders and investors who want to engage with the European market.

Both founders referenced the emergence of founder led tech talk formats internationally as a model they respect while positioning their effort as a distinctly European stage. They said the goal is to amplify success stories that can inspire future founders and redirect talent flows toward building technology businesses across European cities.

The European Technology Network s daily rollout represents a bet that the continent s accelerating AI and startup activity needs a higher frequency platform to document funding, product news and policy debate. The new studio, funding and programming aim to make the show a regular stop for anyone shaping Europe s tech future while keeping its coverage accessible to a broad online audience.
